I was at a red light in the rain when a man goes through the intersection and slams into my car. He was running from the cops.
I had a concussion, strained ligaments in my neck and shoulder, and a lower lumbar sprain in my back. My infant was in the car too and the force moved his car seat and caused swelling in his back. I had to go through physical therapy, which plateaued at about 70% – my back still hurts every day.
I called around to a few law firms but I was impressed by Allen & Allen because they were professional and welcoming. Other firms seemed greedy about getting money, but Allen & Allen seemed like they cared about what happened to me. And they did! They really went to bat for me, especially at settlement time when my son’s PTSD came up. He was scarred by the impact. Insurance really tried to lowball us. They didn’t even offer enough money to replace my car that was totaled, much less cover my actual medical bills! Jouya pushed back, and thank goodness he did.
Andrea was great too. She was responsive, and always got back to me right away. I appreciate how empathetic they were throughout the whole situation. Even if it was a little thing, like checking in to see how I’m feeling, things like that mean a lot.
