I was hit by a drunk driver. I drive a bus for the city, and the driver who hit me crashed into the bus’s power pack, which took out the controls.
It was a terrifying experience. I had no control over the bus. I was driving at night and the lights went out. I couldn’t control the steering, and I took out a couple of cars and hit a lamp post, and went sideways, which finally stopped the bus.
I had neck injuries, ankle injuries, and a traumatic brain injury. I had blacked out for a while. I was out of work for 10 months with physical therapy, back injections, and brain fog, plus I was suffering from PTSD. I was a night driver and didn’t want to drive at night. I got nervous behind the wheel whenever I saw a car coming toward me.
Allen & Allen was great. David really listened to me. He took his time with me, allowing me to heal before we dealt with the nuts and bolts of the case. They would stay in touch with me and the doctors. They prepped me for the case, and the legal assistants were great. They took notes for me if there were a lot of details, or if something was too complicated.
They are just top-notch. I want people to know that.
