Settlement: $1,225,000
Our client was sitting at a red light when he was rear-ended by the defendant. He sustained a substantial low back injury that has prevented him from working at the same capacity as before the crash.
When he initially reached out to a different local personal injury law firm, he was told that he might be able to secure up to a $50,000 settlement. He declined that representation and hired Scott Fitzgerald and Allen & Allen instead.
Unfortunately, his back condition ended up requiring surgery, so Scott filed suit on his behalf when the insurance company refused to make more than a minimal offer.
The defense attempted to avoid responsibility by hiring a doctor to state that the surgery was unnecessary and unrelated to the collision.
The case settled shortly before trial for $1.225 million.
