When Tee Hanible retired from the Marine Corps, she began an organization called Operation Heroes Connect. Seeing a need in the community, Hanible created a volunteer program that partners local youth with military and veteran mentors. The goal is to help upcoming generations explore and access the support, resources, and opportunities necessary for them to reach their full potential.

In 2016, Hanible was celebrated as an Allen & Allen Hometown Hero, where the firm helped to build awareness around her important mission. And once you’re an Allen, you’re always a Allen, so Hanible met with attorney Junior Ndlovu, who presented her with a $1,000 check toward Operation Heroes Connect. This contribution could not come at a better time. Hanible noted that this donation will help fund the transportation for her summer camp program. Every year on Solomon’s Island in Maryland, youth around the D.C. metro area gather for a weeklong camp. This year, Operation Heroes Connect will host 100 young girls and boys, aged 9-17.

This contribution is part of the ongoing mission of Allen & Allen Cares: Helping Our Heroes. This program is designed to further bolster the charities and organizations associated with our Hometown Heroes, helping to improve lives in our community.
