Eric W. Speer

Eric W. Speer

Meet Eric

Eric Speer began his legal career working with a public defender, but decided to branch out beyond criminal defense. Eric wanted to help innocent victims going up against powerful corporations in court, and turned to personal injury.

His education included work with the renowned Innocence Project, through the University of Montana, where he served on the Investigations team. This work carried over when he attended law school in Virginia, gaining experience at the William & Mary Innocence Project Clinic. As a personal injury attorney, he has had cases published in Virginia Lawyers Weekly, and worked as co-counsel on the largest trial verdict of 2021, at $10 million dollars.  He has been named a Rising Star with Virginia Super Lawyers in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Eric was born in Alaska and grew up in Montana, where he grew an appreciation for the outdoors. He and his wife love to go camping and take hikes with their hound mix. He is also skilled at dog portraiture, enjoys cooking, and loves to travel.
